We believe materials are not passive carriers of form, but active participants in shaping architecture. Our approach emphasizes:
— Transparency of sourcing and composition
— Compatibility with traditional and ecological building systems
— Reduction of embodied carbon and plastic use
— Regenerative resource cycles, not extractive supply chains

Material Supply

We have specialised knowledge on low-impact, materials and building techniques, and provide design consultancy on material use for architects, contractors and building owners.

Together with Havnens Hænder we supply paints, plasters, boards and building elements made of biocentric materials like clay, hemp, lime and straw. Each material in our library has been selected for its environmental performance, cultural legacy, and tactile beauty. We focus on low-impact, biogenic materials that breathe, age gracefully, and support circular resource flows.

We conduct hand-on material research, testing and 1:1 prototyping. We also offer educational lectures, building workshops and courses.

We have long experience working with cultural and educational contexts, such as exhibition design and publishing.
